Creating a New CNC Program File

NCPlayer allows you to quickly create a new CNC program file for writing or testing G-code from scratch.

This feature is useful when you need to start programming from scratch without loading existing files, as well as for training and creating test programs.

How to Create a New File

  1. In the top menu, select File → New.
  2. File → New NCPlayer
  3. Or use the hotkey F2 + N to instantly create a new file.
  4. The editor will be cleared, and you can start entering new G-code.
File → New NCPlayer

Features

  • When creating a new file, all unsaved changes will be lost, so it is recommended to save your current program beforehand.
  • The new file automatically receives a unique identifier (UUID) and is saved in localStorage for recovery when reopening NCPlayer.
  • After creating a new file, you can immediately run a simulation by loading the required G-codes.

Tip: Use a new file for quick experiments with commands and testing individual G-code fragments.
